What is The Thinking Classroom?
The Thinking Classroom is a practical professional development program designed to help educators create learning environments where students actively think, question, explore, and make meaning. The program moves beyond traditional content delivery and focuses on developing classrooms that nurture curiosity, engagement, problem-solving, and deep understanding.
Designed for Early Years, Primary, and Middle School educators, the program supports teachers who want to strengthen student thinking, increase participation, and create richer learning experiences. It is suitable for educators across a variety of curricula who are committed to improving teaching and learning outcomes.
The program combines interactive workshops, collaborative inquiry, classroom-based activities, and practical teaching strategies. Participants explore how thinking develops, how to design learning experiences that promote inquiry, and how to create classroom cultures where every student is encouraged to contribute. Through practical examples and reflection, educators develop approaches that can be applied immediately in their classrooms.
