About the Intensive
The Thinking Classroom is CILL’s flagship summer intensive, designed to launch the academic year with a coherent pedagogical journey. Rather than a sampler of disconnected topics, the four days follow a single thread: how thinking begins in the child, how teachers see and respond to it, how we honor the diversity of every thinker, and how we sustain curious minds — both our students’ and our own. The intensive is delivered as a single shared cohort, ensuring every participant experiences the full arc together. It draws on the established CILL programs (Building Blocks of Play, Unpacking Inquiry, Assessment for Understanding, The Pedagogical Pillars) and weaves them into one journey.
