Saira Minto
Saira Minto is an educational leader, curriculum specialist, and teacher professional development facilitator with extensive experience in early and primary years education. Her work focuses on supporting schools and teachers in implementing open framework curricula that promote inquiry, conceptual understanding, inclusion, and student agency.
Her journey into education began with training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, which introduced her to phonics, differentiated instruction, and the importance of responding to diverse learning needs. This shaped her belief that meaningful education must be inclusive, reflective, and grounded in how children learn.
Saira has been closely involved in the growth of the IB Primary Years Programme in Pakistan, including the establishment of the country’s first authorized PYP school. She has worked with schools and teachers across Pakistan to support the shift from traditional teaching towards inquiry-based and concept-driven learning. She has served as Senior Manager Primary Years Programme at Beaconhouse School System, supporting schools in their PYP implementation, as Head of PYP Curriculum Development at Lahore Grammar School International and as an Academic Consultant at Trinity School Lahore.
As a trainer, she is particularly interested in helping teachers understand not only how to use progressive curricula, but how to bring them to life through thoughtful planning, inclusive practice, and reflective pedagogy.
