Summary of the August workshops
Session 1 -2: Is your POI balanced?
In this interactive workshop, participants will explore strategies to critically review and refine the Programme of Inquiry (POI) to ensure balance, alignment, and authenticity.
Teachers will engage collaboratively to identify gaps, strengthen transdisciplinary connections, and enhance vertical and horizontal articulation.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will analyze the POI to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for development in alignment with PYP requirements.
Participants will collaboratively apply criteria to refine the POI, ensuring conceptual depth, learner agency, and transdisciplinary balance.
Subject guide ( for each session we need to add the guide title)
In this session, we will unpack the latest PYP subject guidance, explore key updates and shifts in thinking, and reflect on how they impact teaching and learning.
Participants will engage with the new ideas collaboratively and consider practical ways to align their practice with the updated guidance.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will identify and interpret key updates in the new PYP subject guidance and understand their implications for planning and instruction.
Participants will reflect on current practices and collaboratively explore ways to implement the new guidance effectively in their context.
